Supporting Facilities

EMBRC provides access to conference and meeting rooms for training courses, historical libraries, and bibliographic databases of marine research.

EMBRC also contributes to the training of the next generation of marine biologists. This is accomplished through two initiatives:

Marine Training – A web platform developed by EMBRC to offer an overview of training opportunities in the marine and maritime fields, while providing a support program to promote new training initiatives and exchange best practices. It aims to train the next generation of “blue professionals” and retrain the current generation by providing answers to trainees seeking training and trainers seeking support (e.g., on how to organize training initiatives).

The master’s program IMBRSea – The International Master in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea), is a joint master’s program organized by eight leading European universities in the field of marine science; University of Ghent (BE), University of the Sorbonne (FR), University of the Algarve (PT), University of Oviedo (ES), Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (IE), University of the Basque Country (ES), Università Politecnica delle Marche (IT), and University of Bergen (NO), University of Western Brittany – UBO (FR), and University of Gothenburg – UGOT (SE), and supported by 14 EMBRC operators.

Among the Support Structures of EMBRC-IT are:
